Difference between Windows 7 32 and 64 bit

    Hello everyone,

I just installed Windows 7 64 bit, and I see that my pc is running very well now since this is the first time I use a 64 bit system. But the problem is that I have heard that using this system will cause me problems with software that I used before, such as Visual Studio and MyEclipse. So I want to know if it is true or not? I have an AMD 64-bit and 4 GB of RAM.

4 GB for 64-bit machine, it's been a little low anyway but hey, it's still correct.

Compatibility side, actually, you'll have trouble on some software. If you have experienced this change, it will be the same kind of trouble we had with 16-bit applications in 32-bit OS.

However, Windows 7 includes a virtual XP machine that should allow you to run the program still remaining to see what it will give use. But there will be "HICS", that's for sure, and it will take to recover some programs/install the version specific for 64 bit platform.

In my case I have no problem with MyEclipse or visual studio.

The only problem was the Java SDK, which caused a few bugs in 64 bit native, but the 32-bit version runs perfectly OK (and MyEclipse is in java ...).

To receive info on the PC, you must just right-click on "Computer", then "Properties". It will display a window with the mentioned 32 or 64 bits (with a lot of information too).

Otherwise, Windows 7 integrates virtualization of XP. This enables you to run software not yet compatible with Windows 7.

It is not necessary to obtain the 32 bits of Windows 7 for Visual Studio and MyEclipse. To run old applications that run under XP, you can use the XP mode (available only for Windows 7 pro and ultimate). It allows you to run the application as if it were under XP unless you're under Windows 7

In contrast to the virus, you will have a 64 bit to make sure his behavior
