    Triple-boot Macbook Pro

    Hi,

I'm quite impressed with our new Mac Pro's at work. Therefore I want to ask the question: Is it feasible to triple-boot a system to create a Mac Pro with three hard drives with them or OS X, Ubuntu and Win7, so you can "arrange" that when you turn the Mac can choose from one of the three OS's. Can I do it ? Is it complicated ?

You can choose your system by using Alt-key when you start ...
It's easy if you have 3 different hd's.

I think you have 3 options:

    - Via Boot Camp and boot loader of the OS X operating systems 3. Finally gives the best result, ie at startup you can choose from 3 options. I think the most difficult, but to do, but once Google. Do not experience. Could perhaps harder if you want to re-partition or something!

    - Via separate HD's work, even OS X and Windows via Boot Camp and install Linux on a different HD. At startup choose which HD you want. Relatively easy to do and little risk.
I do this on my PC to choose between WinXP, Win 7, OS X and Linux.

    - Via Boot Camp and Wubi. With Boot Camp you install Windows and Windows can Ubuntu (Ubuntu only!) Installed with Wubi. Linux is then put in 1 large file in the Windows partition. At startup has to first choose OSX or Windows and the Windows loader then choose Windows or Linux. I have done on my MSI Win with OS X, WinXP and Ubuntu. Please note that your Windows partition is large enough to contain all of your Linux.

But for a different harddisk installation:

You download the iso of Ubuntu
You burn it on a CD disk utility.
You boot from the CD by booting with alt key ........
You choose your language, select Install, and you follow all the steps.

In one of the steps he will ask which you want to install hd, hd as you choose the Mac Pro that you want.

When everything is installed you can boot from your new Linux by booting with alt-key.
