Vista SP1 Update 0xc01a001d error

Just updated the windows vista sp1 through windows update , but after restarting getting this 0xc01a001d error on black screen, whats wrong i did? it was automatic update installation? what should i do now? getting this error on every boot and can't pass it . Please help me, i need to make my system to work as soon as possible, Thanks in advance for help, waiting for some good suggestions...

I had faced this issue few months ago, after searching and trying lot the final solution for me was to perform a custom re-installation and I had to download and install Vista Service Pack 1 again. This time it worked without any error.

Run the System Readiness Update Tool - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821 , Install SP1 from the full network install file rather than Windows Update.

Are you getting system restore option before your boot screen? Any way to boot in safe mode and then Uninstall service pack 1 from your computer and check. If this doesn't work then one possible solution for you can be is to perform a repair install.
