GRUB 2 cannot boot into Windows XP

Please help guys, I updated Ubuntu 9.04 to Ubuntu 9.10 beta. I odn't klnow what the problem is, but there is some problem and i cannot get through it. I don't know what went wrong but yesterday i wanted to start XP and at that time realized GRUB 2 cannot boot into Windows XP. Any solution? Please help...

Did you try to configure Grub to boot from Windows? I mean did you added the entry in Grub so that it can recognize and boot into windows? Grub and Grub 2 are totally different so you need to add Windows entry into grub so that the Grub recognizes Windows XP and boot from it when you select to do it... Any more problems do post back...

Thanks for the reply, but the Windows Entry is already existing on my grub menu. See this is the entry for Windows in my menu.lst file for windows :

Despite of the entry, it wont show windows in the boot option... Please help...

The path for the file in which you add windows and other OS entries to boot was : [/boot/grub/menu.lst]. But Grub 2 uses a different file now and you need to make entry in this file : [/boot/grub/grub.cfg]
Make same entry here too and this will let you boot from Windows...
