How to troubleshoot MAC startup problems

Just upgraded MAC system recently. Facing multiple issue on Start up. But after some time things work find. Suddenly when I boot up MAC pc the system freezes. But then clicks works after sometime. Many times a flashing question mark appear on the desktop. And the common Sad Macintosh icon do add on more issue. Please suggest some working tips. Thanks.

Try this tips here. This will surely help. First disable all the extensions. After that restart your computer by pressing the shift key. The errors occurring might be due to extension conflicts. Also if you can restart your computer by Disk tools like floppy or as startup cd then that will work. Also remove all your external device like printer, network cable, dual monitors, etc.

Resetting PRAM can fix up your startup issue. Just press command option P R during the time of bootup. Clear up all the information which maintained in the computer like port, finder, network settings, etc. If your computer again freeze up after resetting the PRAM then it simply means the PRAM is corrupted. Second thing update your hard drive software. A update or re-installing the hard drive driver can clear up the start up problem.

It is better recommended that you must perform a clean installation of the the software. This will sort out more startup issues. The reason for doing this is that many files in the system folder becomes unusable. Re-installation will clear up old files and make your system more free. Other thing you can do is use a third party disk utility service. Format the hard drive and run a restore function.
