OpenSolaris dual booting with Ubuntu

I am not so good when it comes to installing Operating Systems which i have never used and they kinda haunt me at first time. But i am a fast learner and i hope someone here can help me with OpenSolaris dual booting with Ubuntu on my PC. I have used ubuntu and i want to try out OpenSolaris. I have seen the screenshots of OpenSolaris on this guide : http://www.techarena.in/guide/9340-h...pensolaris.htm. Please help friends...

Ok, this is easy, Install OpenSolaris first. Boot from OpenSolaris cd and boot from it. Then follow the guide which got you inspired to install OpenSolaris. Just create a partition on which you will be installing Ubuntu later on. When this is done, use Ubuntu CD to boot from and install it on a different partition that you had created during OpenSolaris partitioning. Thats it...

Do i need to change any settings during Ubuntu Installation or Solaris installation? Actually i have Ubuntu installed on my disk, Is there any way to install Solaris over it? If there is a way, please help me with it... I don't want to install ubuntu all over again...

If you have some other hard disk you can install OpenSolaris on the other disk and then add its entry to Ubuntu's grub boot loader. In this case just make sure Ubuntu's disk is first disk in hard disk priority... For more help see this : Installing Ubuntu and Windows 7 on seperate drives
