WindowsWcpOtherFailure3 error on Vista Ultimate

trying to fix this WindowsWcpOtherFailure3 on my Girlfriends computer. It keeps showing up in the Problems Reports and Solution, and I have no idea what to do?

I am getting this error called WindowsWcpOtherFailure3 continously on my pc. It pops up in the problems reports and solutions which is very weird. I dont have any idea what does this error do and why it pops up all of a sudden. I am on a Vista Ultimate pc and below is some of the error message that that was generated:

What is the service pack version you have installed for Vista in your pc? If you havent updated it till now then I would recommend you to install it once and check if you get the same error messages or not.

Let’s try a Selective Startup (Clean Boot) and see if the updates will install:
1. Click Start , click Control Panel , click System and Maintenance , click Administrative Tools , and then double-click System Configuration .

2. Click Continue , or provide Administrator credentials if prompted.

3. Click the General tab, and click Selective startup .

4. Under Selective startup uncheck Load startup items .

5. Click the Services tab, check the Hide all Microsoft services box, and then click Disable all .

6. Click the Apply , then OK , and then Restart .

1. Click WinKey on your keyboard.
2. Type cmd and hit Ctrl+Shift+Enter. That will bring you to the command prompt in Administrator mode. It you still have UAC enabled, it will ask you for permissions, click OK.
3. Navigate to your Vista system folder (i.e. C:\Windows\System32)
4. Type fsutil resource setautoreset true C:?? assuming that you have
your Vista on drive C.
5. Reboot.
