Invalid boot.ini but Windows XP still works

Hello friends, i have a strange problem in my computer and i don't know what is the reason. When i start Windows XP, before it boots i get a DOS screen which says Invalid boot.ini but Windows XP still works Will i have any problem later on? What should i do? Please help...

Is there any issue with startup? Or do you face any problem with your Windows? Specially at boot time? If no then forget it, its not gonna harm. If there is any trouble then post the problem with details, so that you could get better help...

No, i don't have any hardware issue, no software issue. Windows just runs flawlessly, and no application or anyother kind of error. I just noticed this yesterday and so just want to be sure if this is not going to harm my computer. Just curious...

Well, this may be due to many reasons. Boot.ini file may have invalid entiries after you have removed your system from dualboot or the file was backed up and now it has not been correctly restored. But unless you cannot load into windows its not a problem...
