Windows experience index error

I am running windows vista on my computer, whenever i try to run Windows Experience Index to find out hardware speed and performance improved in my computer and status of processor it shows an error message " can not complete assessment". What has happened and what is the solution?Can anyone help!!!

Go to C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT. Try to play the files winsatencode.wmv and winsat.wmv using your default media player in Windows Vista and also Check if you have connected power on before you scan your Windows Experience Index score....

Have you checked all your BIOS settings? Windows Experience Index (WEI) is use to view the performance of the computer and its capability when running Windows Vista.You can also use the subscores of your computer to determine which components you need to upgrade to meet the base score you desire. WEI subscores and base score are calculated by a free benchmarking command-line utility called WinSAT.
