my laptop came with vista business - im trying to install sp1 and i cant i also tried installing it thru a standalone .exe file and that too didnt install...pls help or let me know what more info or any logs that u need .. thanks

There are many reason why you are not able to install vista sp1 on your laptop before going ahead may i know what's your laptop model number and it might happen that CD which you are trying to use might have got corrupted. For similar type of issue check out below links
