unknown password to unlock setup

Hello to You all...
I do have a Dell Dimension 5150 (bought it preowned), I'm trying to change to boot up from my drive " D " ,reason is I want to Reinstall Windows XP Pro, and hoping this will fix files missing in the Registry(after I cleaned a Virus), but when trying to do this...I get message:enter password to Unlock Setup!!!
any body?...any help highly Appreciated.

The only way to clear a BIOS password is to clear the CMOS. You can either use a jumper on the motherboard or remove the CMOS battery or else try contacting dell about it. how much did u pay for it?

Well I paid for this PC about $350.00 last March.
Its a Tower PC-Dimension 5150 Windows XP-Pro Ver 2002,
with Serv Pack 2, fast P4 3.6 GHz HT,2-GB of RAM
with DVD-Rom,DVDR/RW,Card Reader,
By the way the Battery thing didn't work,I had it out for couple of minutes,
puted it back en still showingETUP is LOCK..need the Administrator PASSWORD!!!
I will follow your other ( 2 )suggestions....
All I'm trying to do is To make it to BOOT-UP from my D-Drive so I can reinstall Win...XP to fix/Replaced missing Corrupted/Files... but without this
Administrator-Password seems I can't continue.
