Installing application using Compatibility Mode in windows 7

HI, i am a MAC OS user but want some help here with Windows 7. One of my friend having this Operating system wants to install an application that is written for an earlier versions of Windows. Now to install this on windows 7 we need to do it with the Compatibility mode. As a MAC user i have no idea about this, Could you guys help in installing application using Compatibility Mode in windows 7 ? Help appreciated.

Windows 7 compatibility mode is the best to help running some older versions of applications. In order to install any application in compatibility mode on Windows 7, just go through these steps:-

• Right click the setup file and click Properties.
• Click on the Compatibility tab.
• Now mark the check box for option 'Run this program in compatibility mode for' and select Windows 7.
• Click Ok.
• Now double click the application and Run to install it.
• You are done.

You can also use Compatibility Mode to run any program as an Administrator. To do so, you will find an option box for 'Run this program as an administrator' under the same Compatibility Tab. Just mark it and click OK. Another way to open Compatibility mode in Windows is by typing 'compatibility' in the Start Menu and select Run Program made for previous version of Windows. This will launch Program Compatibility wizard. Now check the desired option and OK.
