    Getting error WindowsUpdate_80073701

From last week, I am getting some error on my computer which is something like WindowsUpdate_80073701 and I am not able to understand that what can be done to get this problem resolved. I searched for this on google but all the solutions that I got for this was not helpful to me in anyway. This is n;ot making any difference to the functioning of my computer but I don’t like to see that all the times on my screen. Can somebody tell me that what is the problem with this and how it can be resolved. I will be thankful to each and every helpful reply for this.

You should ensure that you have installed the newest updates made for Windows 7 and the applications that you are using and also to the device drivers. Aldo do this from the Windows update as this will also do the smaller updates as well.

If you are having some antivirus installed on your computer then just disable that for the time when you are updating. I am telling you to do this because it is possible that the antivirus that you are using is causing this problem to you. If it is because of the antivirus then disabling that will surely help you to get the issue resolved.

I getting the same error on my netbook Windows 7 Starter (x86). I have already tried many times to install but that was without success. The first time it went well but then it went wrong when I restarted the laptop and turned his mid-install everything again. Since then, I can not properly download SP1. Manually downloaded SP1 from the download center, where I get the 0x80073701 when installing "error_sxs_assembly_missing" message. Does anyone know what this means is it?!

I think that you must try by reinstalling the operating system but this time with different bootable CD. This is because there might be some problem with the installation CD and installing with a fresh copy will surely help you.
