Well, if your ISO image is bad (corrupted), then it could cause this, sometimes not on XP hard disk space can make things happen (20 GB, although it should be enough), but just might want to restore to a point before all this was happening, or just have an ISO image clean and format the partition and start with a clean installation.

Well, RC is a beta release, but the version you get to use in beta versions is the one with highest features... It shows Ultimate, in RC [or beta stage]

Do the following to perform chkdsk:

    • Click on Windows Orb/Start button
    • Now Click on Run.
    • type cmd in the text field and press ENTER.
    • type chkdsk and hit the enter key.
    • If errors are detected, perform repair and recover readable information.
    • Type chkdsk volume:/r, and press ENTER.

Note: remember this process will take lots of time. so have patience to let it complete.
