    Dual Boot Windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.04 without bootloader

    I have a computer with two internal hard disks and i want to dual boot my system. The problem i face is i do not want any bootloader to take over and i need both the Operating Systems to be installed on different hard disk. Is it possible to Dual Boot Windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.04 without bootloader taking over control? Please help...

    I don't think that it is possible. Grub is the only bootloader which i know has the capability of booting from any partition and any operating system. Without GRUB its is not possible according to me. I don't know what other people may think about this...

    Anyone else? Is this not at all possible? Please help... I don't want to depend on one bootloader as i think this will be an insecure setup for my computer. Please help guys...

    Install Windows 7 on the first hard disk and then install Ubuntu on the second hard disk. Now while installing ubuntu click on 'Advance' option and there select the second hard disk to load the grub boot loader. Now you can boot from any hard disk by selecting your any hard disk as the first hard disk from BIOS. Some motherboards have option to press a key which allows you to select the device from which you want to boot. You can use that too. But this is again unethical or not practical. So you decide what you want. Either you can do this way and need to be careful on every boot or you let GRUB takeover and be at peace of mind...
