Ok, you need to open terminal and then type the following command :
    Code:
    killall gnome-panel
This should bring the gnome top menu and bottom panel back.. Hope this works, Do post back is any problem...

I think you did not read my problem carefully... My top menu is missing from where do i access the terminal? Is there any other way to access the terminal or any keyboard shortcut? I'm not aware of any such method.
    So please help me...

Press Alt+F2 then in there type :
    Code:
    gnome-terminal
Then in the terminal type :
    Code:
    killall gnome-panel
This is the complete way... All the best!
