How to get Dell M1530 SLIC 2.1 upgrade

Hi,

My friend is having Dell M1530 laptop with him and from few days he is facing some issue with his laptop. When he called Dell support care they told him to upgrade SLIC 2.1, i have also try to find it out over internet but was not able to get SLIC 2.1. Can anyone help us out with this issue and at the same time can any one provide me step by step how to guide for dell m1530 slic 2.1?

In that case i would suggest you to take it from it's official site and you would be upgrade it and about installation you need to follow the below steps:-

1. After downloading the file you need to open HP usb tool and choose create a dos bootable.
   
   
2. Now choose the folder where you have extracted the win98SEbootable iso once your usb bootable stick is created.
   
   
3. Then add to this usb stick your original M1530 EXE bios, the modded bios.gz file
   
   
4. Then reboot your system and in the command prompt, type : 1530BIOS.EXE -readgzfile
   
   
5. This will open the flash tool and select YES to flash the BIOS and if it's good it will flash your bios with the modded bios.gz
   
   
6. Finally your system will be rebooted and your bios is flashed with modded bios slic 2.1

Thanks for giving me the steps i have try to find it out SLIC 2.1 upgrade on dell site but was not able to get it. Can anyone provide me any link or any site name from where i can download the upgrade of SLIC 2.1, i have really for frustrated with my Dell laptop because of which i am planning to buy new laptop apart from Dell laptop.

Don't worry Darthmouth, i have found out the download link where you can get SLIC 2.1 upgrade for your Dell M1530,and at the same time also download dell m1530bios.exe file if you want to be on a safe side just like i did, download it from dell support center or for downloading SLIC 2.1 upgrade click on the download.
