How to disable Auto Arrange in Windows 7

have installed the Windows 7 RC, i think its 7100 build. However i'm trying to move my icon in Windows explorer but i can't. I can't able to move anything. There is no Auto Arrange item to check or uncheck in right click menu. How can i disable Auto Arrange?

I don't know about windows 7 but if specifically you want to set one folder and then use tools, options, view tab, and set all folders.

I think you can't in windows 7, I can see many complaints about this in MS technet forums, Have you used the options Sort By, Stack By, or Group By when you right click in a Windows Explorer window. I think they can help you in what you need.

You want to auto arrange on desktop? You just need to simply press and hold the F5 key for few seconds. I don't know if it works but you can try this, first right click somewhere in folder select sort by then click on more. Check "Date accessed" and click ok. Select Date accessed in the sort by menu and click on ascending. It will kind of work for you if you like having the files you extract at the end of the list. If you extract a folder it will show up at the bottom of all the folders.
