Computer does not support audio compression format

Sponsored Links
Hi,

I am facing problem with Yahoo messenger , I have installed the K-lite codec then why it does show that my computer does not support required audio compression format? This is the message i get on yahoo, "Yahoo! Chat is unable to locate the DSP Group TrueSpeech audio compression (codec) software on your computer". Which codec is required for Messenger voice conference. When i go to any chat room it says, audio compression format not supported anyone no how to fix it?

Thanks

Re: Computer does not support audio compression format

I this you should have to install proper codecs installed. Go here and download a codec pack, Download it from here. If this doesnt solve the problem then you have to make sure you are using the required programs for speech.

Re: Computer does not support audio compression format

The DSP Group TrueSpeech audio compression (codec) software is usually installed as part of Microsoft Windows. To check go to Control Panel and Double-click the Multimedia icon. On Multimedia Properties window Click on the Advanced tab. Click on the plus-symbol (+) next to Audio Compression Codecs to expand the list of installed codecs. If its not there then From windows set up Select DSP Group from the Manufacturers list and TrueSpeech(TM) Software CODEC from the Models list, then press the Next button.Press the Finish button.
