Adm log on

I can't log on as an Administrator due to password protected. Any ways I now have adm trying to log on in my welcome screen and of course it has an error message saying it can't log me in. How do I get rid of that on the welcome screen.

Re: Adm log on

What is your operating system ?? Assuming that its Windows XP, when the computer booting your, press F8. Then select option Safe Mode with Command Prompt. Log on with an account that is a member of the administrators group, At the command prompt, type %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe, Press Enter, this will start the "Welcome to System Restore" screen. Go through the steps of the Wizard and follow the instructions to restore your system to a previous restore point.
