Install Windows 98 over Windows Me

Hello , I want to install the windows 98 over windows me , can you tell me it is possible to install the windows 98 over windows me ,as windows me is the newer release and windows 98 is old, and i dont think that would be possible directly, might have to try other way, so i was looking for the other way to install windows 98 over windows me , please help me thanks in advance

Hello , You have to use the Fdisk to completly format the disk for installing the windows 98

so for this boot from the cd
At the command prompt A:\> type fdisk and press "enter"

It asks if you want to enable the high-capacity(large disk) discs. You can answer "yes" by the "o" on your keyboard and press "enter"

To ensure that your hardware and software is compatible with Windows 98, verify that you have the latest drivers, Basic Input Output System (BIOS), or patches for your hardware and software before you run Setup. I think you got it reversed. ME is superior to 98 with many added features that 98 did not have. Now 98SE is different, but still would keep ME. 98SE is really ME with only the System Restore feature not included..
