Does any one know how to install X11 in OS X(Leopard). Do i need to run Matlab before installing X11. Any help will be extremely appreciated.

Insert your OS X Tiger Install Disc (#1) > double click on Installs icon > Click Continue > Read the Software License Agreement and then click Continue, it will ask you > click on Agree > click Continue > a window will appear with custom install on Macintosh hd > select X11 check box > click Upgrade > X11 can now be found in Applications > Utilities > X11.
- Insert your Mac OS X install disc.
- Double click on "Optional Installs".
- In the new window that pops up double click on "Optional Installs.mpkg"
- In the installation window click Continue. Accept the agreement and Enter your password when prompted, and then click OK.
- Click the triangle next to "Applications" in order to expand the directory.
- Put a check in "X11".
- Click Continue.
- Click Install.
- Wait for the installation to complete and then click Close when it is complete.
X11 is available as an optional install on the Mac OS X v10.3 Panther, and Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger install disks. As of OS X 10.5 (Leopard) X11 is installed by default.X11 for Mac OS X is compatible and fast. Run the Installer, select the X11 option, and follow the instructions. X11 includes the full X11R6.6 technology including a window server, libraries and basic utilities such as xterm.
