I have licensed windows server 2003 enterprise edition. While installing on Dell Poweredge 2900 installation doesnot proceed midway from the time it shows 39 minutes left. Does it require service pack. how to get it.

It is necessary to configure your computer's BIOS to boot to the CD/DVD drive prior the hard drive, and run the Server 2003 installation from the CD, not from within Windows.The Windows Server 2003 installation package lacks the necessary device drivers for your computer's IDE/SCSI/SATA controller. Obtain those from the computer manufacturer and have that disk ready to insert
when prompted.

Installation was started with manufacturer cd itself.
