Task Manager and Registry disabled..

Hi am not able to open the Task Manager and regedit on my XP. It displays "Task Manager has been disabled by the Administrator.

Check for viruses with latest updated antivirus as your problem morely looks like due to virus or rootkit check here Rootkits danger and prevention

Of course Virus is hanging around on your system...you better drive him away using good anti virus program...

Open the cli and type cd C:\Windows\System32 > type "copy mmc.exe AxCrypt.exe > Then run AxCrypt.exe and add the gpedit snap in, this is untested so it might not work

why you post the solution without test it.any way that is probleem of virus she disable them task and registry.first update your ant virus.if still prolem same open window in safe mode than try to use registry or task manager.or run gpedit.msc go to administrative tamplates than system than ctrl+del option,than double click remove task manager than tik not configured than apply.please post result.

am using avira updated version..but it doesn't smell a virus..
