Guys i need help. Yesterday i tried to open the terminal and wanted to see the ethernet configurations so i typed the following command :
I got the error saying :Code:ipconfig

I got the error saying :Code:ipconfig
Code:bash : ipconfig command not found
The command 'ipconfig' is for windows, not for linux based operating system. The command for linux for viewing ethernet configuration is :
Code:ifconfig
Well i tried ping and other similar commands they are same in both windows and linux operating sysetms. Then how will be this command be different. I will try 'ifcofig when i get home, but i don't think it will work... Are you sure it is different? Thanks again!
Yes, 'ifconfig' is the correct command. There are similar commands in both operating systems but the parameters are not all same. try Ping with -t option it will work on windows but not in linux. The parameters are different...
