I know there are some free online driver scan utility. free version gives info only, but that information is enough along with google to get the latest drivers.May be you can visit websites like pcpitstop ..
Have you tried of Driver Magician. It seems to run astonishing way. Were you having trouble with the backups, the live updates per OS maybe? It took me a few tries to nail down exactly how to make it flow to have an exact backup of the old drives, but once I did, I never looked back. I like the live update feature a lot, especially if I'm doing a clean install or if there is some hardware issues that require driver updates that may be hard to track down.
For updating the drivers of an existing Vista installation DriverMax is a good program.but i recently heard thatyou can only download 1 driver a day and you have to pay for it now.I don't know the extend of the truth in this concern
