Install ydl from usb drive?

Hello friends,

I was wondering can i possibly install yellow dog linux onto the ps3 using just the usb thumb drive instead of a dvd?

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated..!!

No..it is not possible to do that..some of friends told they can do it..but am not believed their part.it is not possible at the right moment. May be you can do it after some time when they add some updates in their products.SO one thing you can do be patient and wait for that..

I just heard some news from fixstars that Linux YDL 6.2 supports USB install... i want to do some thing with that but it's not available yet.YDL 6.2 will support USB installation. It should be available for free downloading in about 2 weeks. You could contact Fixstars about a price for a USB thumbdrive with YDL 6.2 on it.
