Windows 2007 compatibility mode

Sponsored Links
Hello friends,

I have recently install Windows 7 as my operating system along with Office 2007 on it. Everything is working fine but today i have created a word document in Office 2007 and save it in the compatible mode. But when i am trying to open the same file on my Dell laptop which is having Office 2003, over here i am not able to open that file. Can anyone tell me what would be done in this situation ?

There is a way of doing it is by right clicking on the same file and then going to compatibility mode over there you need to check on run this program in Compatibility mode and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) and then click on Apply and OK for changes to get effected. hope this should work out for you.

Re: Windows 2007 compatibility mode

I guess you haven't made it into compatibility mode properly because of which you are not able to open the same file in Office 2003 i guess still the file would be in .docx mode only. For making into compatibility mode you need to click on Office button which is at left top of your window, click on save As option over there you will get Excel 97-2003 Compatibility click over it and now try to open the same file you would be able to open that file in Office 2003 also.
