Dell Dimension 4700 recovery disk

I'm having a Dell Dimension 4700 laptop on which i had installed Windows Xp as my operating system. The problem is that i had lost the recovery disk for my system. Can any body tell me that where would i get Dell Dimension 4700 recovery disk? Does any body knows about it? Kindly provide me the correct solution for the above issue. Any kind of help on the above issue would be appreciated.

It sounds like your computer either doesn’t have a built-in system recovery program, or the program is broken. If the drive was replaced and windows was re-installed from the cd then the drive is probably missing both the utility partition at the beginning of the drive and the restore partition at the end of the drive.

Normally you would need to independently download and install each driver on your system. For that you need to visit the official Dell website and check out whether you get the recovery disk for your specified model number. Restoring factory settings should be your last resort.

Dell may have included a set of system recovery CDs with your computer, or they may have included a Windows installation disc. You can try restoring lost partition by using Active partition recovery tool. With this driver recovery system all you need to do is wait until the Desktop can not find the device driver it is looking for and put this CD DVD in. Sometimes you may need to select the DVD CD as the location for your driver.
