| Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) : invalid argument "roaming"
I have a dlink usb wireless lan card. When i restart network service i get Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) : invalid argument "roaming". What may be the problem? I cannot get a valid ip from the wifi router. I have dhcp enabled. This happens only when i restart the network services, else everything works fine. Any help? ![]() |

Can you connect to a network if you assign an IP Address manually? Or is it that it wont work at all...? If it works with manual IP assignment, then assign a IP permanently. |

| Re: Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) : invalid argument "roaming"
The error 8B06 is related to driver/driver configuration. Make sure that after restarting network services, your usb wifi card doesn't go into ad-hoc mode. Change it to managed mode and the problem will go away... |
