    New LUN Device using ql-lun-scan.sh

I have an old server with EMC CX500 Clariion. I have installed RHEL 2. I want to add a new LUN device without a reboot so tried ql-lun-scan.sh, but the device is not detected. What other ways i can try so that the new device is detected? Please help... Thanks!

Did you try this combination :
    Code:
    echo "scsi-qlascan" >>/proc/scsi/qla2300/<adapter-id>
    echo "scsi add-single-device 3 0 0 3" >>/proc/scsi/scsi
May be that would make your LUN to be detected.

First, unmount any LUNs that you have attached to it, then stop powermt and nav agent and attach the new LUN and then start powermt and nav agent. May be this could get your new LUN to detect on your machine. This way is recommended by QLogic too... Hope this works. If still you get any problem, don't hesitate to post back...
