Here is some more information related to upnpframework.exe file

    Location :-

UPnPFramework.exe is located in a subfolder of "C:\Program Files" normally @
    (i) C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sony Shared\VAIO Media Platform\
    (ii) C:\Program Files\Sony\vaio media integrated server\Platform\.

    File Size :-

The known file sizes on Windows XP are -

However, the program is not a Windows core file and has no visible window. The application listens for or sends data on open ports to LAN or Internet. UPnPFramework.exe is able to record inputs.

In my friend's Windows system, UPnP Framework.exe occured as an Application Error in which an error message says -
The instruction at "0x0012d858" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "written"
