Sound on only admin account in Windows xp

First hi to all of you,

Here i'm facing really strange issue guys, when i do login with my admin account everything works fine including sound, but when my bro do login with limited account or guest account there is no sound at all? No sound comes when i play songs in limited account. I think some settings has to be enable through admin account but i don't know which settings, please help me out to fix this issue.

No there is no settings needs to be make for limited account by admin account, i think your bro or you has disable the sound accidentally in limited account. There should be the speaker icon in system tray , right click on that and make sure that Mute option is unchecked. Hope this helps.

First Check in the Settings - > Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices Properties when each user is logged in and make sure the settings are not Muted, the volume is up where you want it, etc. Compare your working Admin settings to what the user settings are when each is logged in. Make their settings look like the settings you know work.

Since you can hear things as Admin, then your sound device and speakers are working properly. You need to check the settings for each afflicted user when they are logged in with their own profile and adjust accordingly..

It happens in limited account, Check that your volume at the Speakers and Volume Controller is not muted, Reinstall the sound card driver from the manufacturer's site.
