hpqimzone.exe is a process installed alongside the player software from HP and provides additional configuration options for these devices. This program is a non-essential process, but should not be terminated unless suspected to cause problems.

If this is not enough, also try this method:

    1. Open the Start menu, right click on the My Computer icon and select Properties.
    2. Go to the Automatic Updates tab
    3. Choose Disable automatic updates and validate
    4. Restart the computer
    5. Open the Start menu, point to All Programs, open Windows Update to update Windows manually.
    6. Back in the properties of My Computer to get the option Automatic (recommended) Automatic Updates

You'll have to reinstall the drivers and applications that came with the CD installation of the device from Hewlett-Packard have, may be the printer or scanner. This will solve your problem.
