Removing XP from dual boot with VISTA

Hello good morning,

I have Windows XP Pro and Windows Vista RTM in my system.which is under a dual boot configuration right now.But am fond of the new Vista version and wish to remove the XP version from my Hard drive.I'm having following configurations on my computer with 2 partitions Windows XP Pro (fat32), Windows Vista RTM (NTFS).Now tell me how can i remove XP from my first partition, enlarge the second partition and have one large partition where I can boot Vista comfortably

Any help is really appreciable !!!

Re: Removing XP from dual boot with VISTA

VistaBootPro
First all create an another entry into the menu with Vista being your legacy OS to boot now reboot the computer go to XP and copy the ‘boot’ map from your XP partition over to the Vista partition and all the boot files from the XP partition to the Vista Partition now configure Vista partition to ‘Active’ using ‘Computer Management.rebbot the pc and remove the XP partition from your HD.after this turn your computer onc and if everything works fine boot Vista from the Vista partition

EasyBCD 1.7
Get a copy of EasyBCD 1.7. install it and run EasyBCD> Add/Remove>indows XP> Add Entry now you can restart your system done

Re: Removing XP from dual boot with VISTA

First load into Vista and format the partition XP is currently installed on there is no need to modify the boot.ini of XP,Since the Vista bootloader has control of the boot.Reboot the mcahine with either Vista CD 1 or your Vista DVD in the drive. choose repair console.Pick the DOS prompt type the following
bootrec.exe /fixmbr
bootrec.exe /fixboot
Now you can restart your computer
