Error on startup with internet explorer

Hi,
I have windows XP installed on desktop PC. When i reboot my computer i get the following error with internet explorer window:

"Cannot find 'File:///'. Make sure the path or internet address is correct."

Can someone help?

Your computer may be infected with viruses or adware. Install some good antivirus and run system scan to remove such infections. Also run anti-adware application for more safety. There are plenty of free antivirus programs available on the internet.

If you have any file linked to the website or internet. Then you will get this error. Try to find the file with the same address or ink. Delete the hyperlink of that file. Delete the file from the directory and save another again. if you want.

Try this:

• Click on Start
• Then click Run
• Type msconfig and press Enter
• Then click on Startup tab
• And unckeck the iexplore.exe box
• Click Apply and OK
