how do i boot xp from a tftp server

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to boot XP from a TFTP server and also how to install XP pro from a network without using cd drive and even floppy drive. I guess we need to set up PXE Server and do some configuration for it first, so can anyone assist me with any solution. Thank you

You can download a boot disk that will allow you to access network shares from here.
www.netbootdisk.com/
First you will need to set up a PXE (or "Pixie") server. There are almost two parts, client and server: The client computers must have a NIC and that supports PXE (most recent ones do), and preferably, a BIOS that supports booting from the network (so you don't need a disk, CD, or USB-device to boot from). The second part is the PXE Server, once your client computer is powered on, it looks for a server to help it boot. (An analogy is how a computer asks for an IP address from a DHCP server.) After the server boots your client, you can also pull down your image file from the server (or another location) and overwrite the hard drive of the client computer.

Have you checked your user guide if your computer supports USB flash drive or USB connected (external drives). The same reference for network boot. You can try in your BIOS settings and see if there is a parameter for USB that you can enable or disable. In BIOS you can also check the boot order if it includes network boot.
