Unable to Download Updates

Hello

friends i have problem with updating .whenever i try to download updates leaves me an error message which says "Error w/Hosts server #11001," i have no idea what exactly the problem.i want to get all the latest updates please any one to help me here

Which internet connection you have?it is looks like some internet issues?are you using a 3rd party dialer or are you using the Windows dialer? try to define a new connector and make use that for the dial-up connection If you using the Windows dialer rather than using the old one

Please verify that the hostname/ip and the port are correctly written in the fields. No spaces in front etc. Also try using an direct IP instead of hostnames. also, try going to settings, windows update.Please take a look at your security settings of your firewall (if you are using one) and make sure that Spybot-S&D is not blocked.

Did you set the Firewall to allow SpyBotSD.exe?if this is the case am pretty sure that this error message is not related to a server being down. It has to do with the firewall not correctly permitting SpyBotSD.exe through it.so may be you can adjust the firewall rules in order to get rid of the issue
