| Can't change folder name in xp
I recently had my login password change, but folder on desktop with some audio and video file is still labeled as my last name. The problem is i can't change the name of the folder. It gives error like logon script not match... registry error... Does anyone know why i can't change folder name in xp. |

You can't change folder name in xp,because those folders are there according to user accounts, go to control panel and users to see if there are any other accounts in the current name of the folder. When you "rename" an account in XP it only renames the logon and keeps the original user name in the docs & settings. |

Are you sure that it is not read only and you have permissions? Changing the name of your user folder is not supported because many applications depend on the name of this folder not changing. Check the folder path or see the properties of that folder. |
