This is a function of the hardware. System beeps are those sounds you hear when an error message or an information/warning message appears. They can be very annoying especially if your speaker volume is set to a high level, for example if you listen to rock music.

For that you need to open up regedit.exe on your system. For taht you need to go to your Start menu, then need to select Run and then navigate your way through the branches to HKEY_CURRENT_USER--> Control Panel--> Sound. Then on the right side you will see an entry (they’re called keys) named ”Beep”, which should be set to “no”. All you have to do is to double-click on it and enter “yes” without the quotes.

In order to get back the beep sound, you need to follow the below steps mention.

    1. Right-click My Computer and select Manage.
    2. Expand System Tools and select Device Manager.
    3. From the View menu, select Show hidden devices.
    4. Expand Non-Plug and Play Drivers.
    5. Right-click Beep, and select Properties.
    6. Select the Drivers tab.
    7. Check out whether there is nothing being selected as "Stop" on your machine. Also change the start-up type to enable so the beep service can start again on your system.
