Re: How to uninstall and reinstall IE7 in Vista

You can simply uninstall internet Explorer 7 from Add and Remove applet.
  • Or go to Start, and then click Run.

  • In the Open box, type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK. It may take several seconds for your computer to compile a list of programs.

  • Scroll down through the list and click Windows Internet Explorer 7, and then click Remove.

You can also uninstall IE7 using Spuninst.exe executable wizard on your computer. To do so, follow this steps:
  • Click Start, and then click Run.

  • In the Open box, type %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe, and then click OK.

  • Follow the wizard instructions to uninstall Internet Explorer 7.

Re: How to uninstall and reinstall IE7 in Vista

Internet Explorer 7 add-ons, such as ActiveX controls and browser toolbars, are used by some Web sites to provide an enhanced browsing experience. An error may occur if an add-on is damaged or if an add-on conflicts with Internet Explorer 7. To determine whether the error is caused by an add-on, run Internet Explorer 7 in "No Add-Ons" mode. To do this, follow these steps:
  • Click Start, and then type Internet Explorer in the Start Search box.

  • Click Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons). Internet Explorer 7 opens without add-ons, toolbars, or plug-ins.

  • Test Internet Explorer to verify that it works correctly.
