Vista can't see my sata drive during install

Hello
my mother board is Asus A7n8XE am trying to load Vista onto a clean sata hard drive. but after some time vista request for drivers for a drive and shows a dialog box in my case i can't find any drivers where it list out all available drives
so how can i get vista to see this hard drive for the install

any help would be really appreciated..

Can you install media that is only for Vista, just follow the instructions on How to install third-party mass storage drivers
get the USB stick to load driver,if you have USB stick. make use of yellow SATA port controlled by ICH chip instead of GSATA rather than purple GSATA ports . Are you using multi boot??

Vista need some drivers be loaded for recognizing SATA controllers you mention that you have it running on IDE,
you can simply load the drivers before doing the clone image operation...and see thing happen..

I know no auxiliary SATA controller driver should need that Gigabyte board in a non-RAID configuration and tht default BIOS configurations re the SATA HDD could suffice for Vista and the recognition of that drive. How does this problem arise?
