What is swdnld.exe?

Hi all,
I did some updates recently. I have windows XP on my desktop. I found process name swdnld.exe in task manager. What is it all about? Can i end this process?

Any suggestions?

It can slow down your computer. So i prefer ending the process to run computer smoothly. It does not look that important process as any system process.
