How can I uninstall a program without an install.log file

I have installed a software downloaded from Internet last month. I want to uninstall it now. So I went to Add Remove Program to remove it but unable to it by clicking on Remove button. When I click on it, it says "Could not open INSTALL.LOG file". Why do I want to open this file? Can't I uninstall the program without opening the Install.log file? If possible then how to do that?

"Could not open INSTALL.LOG file" is basically a permission issue with the log file. Copy the "install.log" file on your desktop and then delete the original file from the original location. Now remove that application from the Add Remove Program. This should ask you for the "install.log" file location. Point it to your desktop and open it.

This error indicates that there is a problem in opening the log specified on the command line used to call the uninstaller. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server Installer version 1.0. The command line used for uninstallation from the Add/Remove Programs icon in Control Panel is stored in the registry at:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\<Appname>

That seems to be the software bug. I would suggest move the install.log file to some other location and run the uninstaller once again. This time tell the wizard to see the new location for the install.log file. This is just a trial to remove the application. I am not sure if this will work but I think this will avoid the bug of the software.
