Bluescreen error reported by vista and hangs

Hello every one
I owns a HP dv6516 note book and pretty happy with that until last week and now it is frustrating me because when i tried to open my program files my computer struck and when i attempted to launch the task manager it did not work resulting a blank screen error mentioning winlogon failed to create security option window with a failed icon below stating failed security option and following a blank screen for few minutes.which also hangs up even in safe mode my computer is up to date with all the windows updates.so what i have to do please help me...
any help would be really appreciated...

friend i need to know which operating mode you have selected with the bios?are you having SATA operating mode in the BIOS,then i will suggest you to reinstall windows Vista and use the Preinstall driver floppies. which really worked out for me...i think it is not due to you open the program files so other issues making the trouble....

Actually at which instant you facing the hang have you changed any hard ware settings recently,may be it can cause the problem..ok i have an option for but am confused whether it works with you or not,just give a try to update the chipset and BIOS

have you tried to clean up you note book.just do it
