| Remove the Password Prompt after Hibernation
I've got a dell laptop and i'm always putting it into standby and hibernate,If suppose i exit the window without locking the screen, then is it possible to enter in window without a password. How do i configure or remove my dell laptop (windows xp) which always ask for password after resume from hibernate. |

To set password after hibernation right click on the desktop > properties > click on "screen saver" then click on "power" at the bottom > then the window will display with multiple tab select "advanced" button at the top then there should be a check box that you can tick that says "prompt for password when computer resumes from standby" then click ok. |

Open up your control panel and select power options. After opening up power options, you will see the tab named "advanced". Click on the advance button, it will display check box that has options for hibernate mode, whether it should always show the icon in the taskbar or if it should prompt for a password when the computer resumes from stand by. |

If you want to remove password after hibernation go to Control Panel and open the Power Options Properties dialog box. Then click "advanced" at the top then there should be a check box, that says "prompt for password when computer resumes from standby" for removing the password clear the "Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby" check box. |
