demoed error returned while attempting to change a service. xp

My McAfee always advice me after each virus scan that there is a problem with my Xp enabled computerthat can't be fully resolved. I tried to delete the file McAfee names as A0018721.exe, which is C:\"System Volume Information".how ever McAfee say Demo-LeakTest is not a threat.now I am unable to delete this file with DIR or ATTRIB from the cmd line, application installed to confirm my system for safety.

Does anyone know how to remove it?

i think your system is some way affected by the virus..
did you try to restore your computer,if not try and see any thing happening
launch the system configuration utility by typing msconfig on your run..and do a system restore make sure that the date you are selecting,your machine was a fine...else it may be a shoddy work..you can also do restore using the back up cd ..let's see what happening..

do you have hijackthis application this application will do the above purpose if you don't have a copy with you get it from a reliable source install it and give the option scan my system and save the log files in to an note pad post it here in your next reply....

if you are keep on disturbed by the system error..back up your files
do a complete format...and install a good anti virus, change the anti virus currently you have,since it failed to make sure the security of your machine..
.update database and copy your old files after scrutinizing the files by your anti virus...
