I just happen to recieve this ISDN Configuration Wizard error message recently every time I boot up my Windows 98 machine. I dont have any ISDN device installed on my machine although this annoying message irritates me all the time. So can anyone tell me how to solve ISDN Configuration Wizard error message?

Re: isdn configuration wizard error message

Hi
I have also come up with this problem and found it a nuisance. I found it to be a epson printer driver that was causing the trouble The way I fixed it was this...Go to Start_Run_msconfig. By memory in the start up tab there was an option for an Epson Colour status monitor executable or something like this. Maybe it varies with different printers. Anyway try unchecking it and the error will hopefully go away. It worked for me.

Run msconfig and look for a reference to cfgwiz**.exe. Uncheck if found to prevent it from loading at startup. Then run a full virus scan. If you can't find it, list your startup programs here.

Re: isdn configuration wizard error message

There's a slim chance that the real Cfgwiz32.exe program is set to launch each time Windows boots, so click Start, click Run, and type msconfig.exe in the box before clicking OK. Choose the Startup tab and look for a Cfgwiz32.exe entry or any other entry that looks like it may be ISDN-related. Remove the check mark from any such entry by clicking the checkbox, click Apply, and click OK.
