How to remove QTTASK.exe

After installing windows xp sp 2 on my dell laptop i have noticed that qttask.exe application always run at background. My anti virus program never detect qttask.exe as virus. Does anyone know what causes this issue and how to fix it?Any help will be extremely appreciated.

This program is a non-essential system process, and is installed for ease of use.qttask.exe is an application that does NOT appear to be a security risk The Process Server database currently registers qttask.exe to Apple. It is used by Quicktime in order to check for updates at the Quicktime.com site In XP, qttask.exe is probably located in Crogram files/quicktime.

You can remove the process qttask.exe from windows xp by following method :
Go to Start then select Run - type MSCONFIG - press enter. Then go to Startup tab and uncheck qttask.exe.
