no backup utility in window xp

I have Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed on my computer on an older hp laptop and I am trying to restore some items to a new HP laptop which also has Windows XP SP2. Now while restoring I get this problem:

'Backup utility cannot connect to the removable storage service.' 'Please exit and start removable storage service using the system services function of the management console'.

So can anyone tell me what backup utility in window xp should I use or How to backup utility in window xp ?

By default, the NTBACKUP program is not installed on the Windows XP.

You can find it on the xp CD in the \VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP directory
Since not all vendors include the actual source code for XP,
    you can download a copy

    DFI LANPARTY SLI-DR
    AMD 64 x2 4800+
    OCZ (2 x 512) DDR600

Follow the steps given below to Install Backup on Windows XP Home Edition:
    • Insert the Windows XP Home Edition CD Rom and navigate to CD-ROM
    Drive:\VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP
    • Double-click the Ntbackup.msi file to start the wizard that installs Backup
    • When the wizard is complete, click Finish.

here is the MS article ....

Windows XP Home Edition: Add the Backup utility
If you're using Windows XP Home Edition and you want to install the Backup utility, you must locate your original Windows XP CD first. Add the Backup utility manually to your computer from the CD by following these steps:

1.Insert your Windows XP CD into the drive and, if necessary, in My Computer, double-click the CD icon to display the Welcome screen.

    2. On the Welcome to Microsoft Windows XP screen, click Perform Additional Tasks.

    3. Click Browse this CD.

    4. In Windows Explorer, double-click the ValueAdd folder, then Msft, and then Ntbackup.

    5. Double-click Ntbackup.msi to install the Backup utility.

    More here.
